These Terms govern your use of DSARly. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What DSARly does

DSARly is a privacy toolkit designed to help you understand and manage your data privacy rights. Our service includes the following features:

  • AI-powered summaries of privacy policies that you provide via URL, pasted text, or PDF upload.
  • Side-by-side comparisons of two privacy policies to help you understand key differences.
  • Document generation tools to create DSAR letters, privacy policies, and other privacy-related documents.
  • DSAR management tools to draft, send, and track your data subject access requests.
  • A testimonial system where users can share their experiences, with optional avatar uploads, after moderation.

DSARly provides information only. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. AI‑generated outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. Always consult original policies and, where appropriate, a qualified attorney. You are responsible for how you use the outputs.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately.

Acceptable use

  • Do not upload unlawful content or others’ personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access data that is not yours.
  • Do not reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service using DSARly’s outputs.
  • Avoid uploading highly sensitive data (e.g., health, financial, biometric).

Your content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit.
  • You grant us a non‑exclusive license to process your content to provide the service (e.g., send text to our AI provider to generate a summary, store saved summaries/comparisons in your account, display moderated testimonials on the site).
  • For testimonials, you grant us a license to display, reproduce, and moderate your quote, name, and avatar (if provided) on our website and marketing materials.

Third‑party services

DSARly relies on trusted third-party providers to deliver our services. By using DSARly, you acknowledge that your use of these providers' services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

  • Cloud infrastructure providers for hosting, database, authentication, and file storage.
  • AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to power our analysis features.
  • Stripe for payment processing.

When you use AI-powered features, the text you submit is sent to the relevant AI provider to generate your requested output. We do not share your personal account information with these providers, and the content you submit is not used to train AI models.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information.

Billing and subscriptions

  • DSARly offers free features and optional paid subscription plans with additional capabilities.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe, our payment processor.
  • By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.
  • Prices are listed in USD and may change with notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle but will apply at renewal.
  • Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of your billing period.
  • You can manage your subscription (upgrade, downgrade, or cancel) from your account settings or by contacting us.

Refunds and cancellations

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until then.
  • We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
  • If you believe you were charged in error or experience a technical issue that prevented you from using the service, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.
  • Refunds, if granted, will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Beta features

Some features may be labeled as beta or experimental. They are provided “as is,” may change without notice, and may not be reliable.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR‑FREE.

Your responsibility: Evaluate AI outputs critically and verify against original sources. Use professional judgment and seek legal counsel where appropriate.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR OUTPUTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $0 IF FREE).

Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third‑party rights.

Termination

  • You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

Changes to the service or Terms

We may change features or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting an update or via the service. Continued use means you accept the changes.

Governing law

These Terms will be governed by applicable law. If a specific governing law or venue applies to your use, it will be the jurisdiction where you reside or where the service is offered, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
